Compiled below is a series of comprehensive rules and regulations, listed with the sincerest intentions of maximizing our guests' creative abilities the moment they are ready to get started on their character's Status Page. A template for one can be located here.
Please consider that these rules are kept in place to represent the experience of the Persona video games as best as a text-by-post roleplaying forum is capable of visually demonstrating; we of the Velvet Room are fully aware that there may be some inconsistencies with certain procedures and encourage our guests to file all suggestions to enhance and improve our policies to myself or one of my attendants through private message at any time.
The Status Page is divided into two distinctive parts: your character's combat information, which details their equipped weapons, armor, and any potential accessories on their person; and the Persona information, which covers their sphere of origin and their numerous powers and abilities in battle.
Characters may begin with one melee weapon and one ranged weapon, allowing them to fight a diverse range of targets when exploring dangerous environments. Please bear in mind that it is illegal to openly carry these weapons around in New York City and will result in severe penalties where they apply—it is therefore within your best interests to exercise some degree of common sense in the context of the game's environment.
They are also permitted to equip one piece of armor and one accessory as a rudimentary form of defense. Once again, common sense must be exercised when applicable; it would appear most alarming if one were to casually roam New York City in a medieval breastplate or a tactical vest.
When you are ready to move on to creating your character's Persona, please consider the following guidelines:
I. Your Persona must originate from a cultural sphere of influence, whether it be religion, mythology, literature, folklore, history, or some other type of human abstraction. They cannot be actual characters from other franchises (e.g., Pokémon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters, etc.). These characters can, however, be used as a faceclaim to represent the intended Persona if the provided image is suitable enough. Please direct all inquiries on this matter to me or an attendant for further advice.
II. There is no "hard limitation" to the exact Persona that a guest may start with as their initial Persona; should you wish to pine for a being or creature originally deemed high-leveled in the games, such as the mighty Lucifer or the awe-inspiring Metatron, you are more than free to. Please bear in mind, however, that certain choices of Persona may require harsher restrictions to be placed on the character, and that we reserve the authority to request certain changes or alterations be made if such is necessary.
III. All Personas have two Traits they must select to determine precisely how it influences the character it is attached to. Guests may choose between the following selections: Wise, Foolish, Upbeat, Gloomy, Timid, Forceful, Irritable, or Arrogant.
IV. Upon its initial awakening, Personas begin with 10 statistic points that may be distributed among their combat parameters however the Persona's controller wishes. No value may be 0.
V. Upon reaching a certain level, a Persona will gain access to a unique ability that enables its summoner to perform or benefit from certain effects. Leave this section blank.
VI. Also calculated upon creation is a Persona's affinities for damage resistance or weaknesses; each of the available damage fields (except Almighty) are treated as if they were given a numerical value of 0 — it then falls onto players to adjust these values while simultaneously attempting to maintain the total value of all fields as 0. Each choice is worth a certain number of "points" that affects the Persona's final list of resistances and weaknesses.
VIII. Your Persona's Arcana cannot be different from its summoner's Arcana, as it is a reflection of both their individual identities. A Persona under the Lovers Arcana, for example, will not be attached to an individual that is defined by the Devil Arcana.

Weak: Lowers a field to –1, but also reimburses an extra point to distribute to any other affinity.VII. All guests must fabricate a list of skills for their Persona to learn upon its initial awakening, up to a minimum threshold of Level 20. Each Persona begins with three innate skills, then must learn the rest through the acquisition of levels and experience points. More information about crafting a skill list can be found here.
Resist: Raises a field to +1, and costs 1 point. Grants resistance to damage from the chosen field.
Null: Raises a field to +2, and costs 2 points. Negates damage from the chosen field.
Repel: Raises a field to +3, and costs 3 points. Reflects all damage from the chosen field back to the attacker.
Absorb: Raises a field to +4, and costs 4 points. Converts all damage from the chosen field into restorative health.
